I might be just un-informed, but is that what most folks make the realist paw pads out of? How do they hold up on indoor suit feet? I am trying to figure out details and what not for as to what options are available for suits depending on the suit maker. Over and over you have been recommended for realistic touches on suits, and or I find something in a gallery and it ends up being your work.
Yes most makers that create paw pads are either Silicone or Latex though most have switched to silicone as its easier to work with and less allergy problems plus it has many hardness and color options. as for durability i have only been using silicone for a couple of months but artist like Qarrzel have been using them for some time with great results and they hold up very well.
A lot of people do work with the silicone, some with latex. The silicone we use for feetpads is rather sturdy, and is almost as strong as the rubber on the bottom of shoes and can be used indoors and out. Though the more you walk on concrete the more they will wear away.
